At church today a prophetess prophesied over me and told me the Lord would reveal to me something that I had never seen before. Having moved as a Prophet and having been acknowledged of this gift by numerous Prophets and leaders in the Body of Christ I was excited. During worship, the Lord took me to 1 Kings 19, The story of Elijah fleeing to Horeb. We all know the story of Jezebel when she stated that this time tomorrow Elijah would be dead.

1 Kings 19:3

Elijah was afraid and ran for his life

1Kings 11-13

Then the Lord said go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by, then a great and powerful wind tore the mountain apart and shattered the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind, after the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper. when Elijah heard it he pulled his cloak over his face and went out and stood at the mouth of the cave.

Elijah was talking with the Lord and instead of asking the Lord for strength courage and wisdom he told the Lord I am afraid and a coward. This act does not negate all the wonderful things that The Prophet Elijah did in his lifetime and ministry. What this does show is whether you are an Apostle, a Prophet, an Evangelist, a Pastor, a Teacher, or a member of the body of Christ we are all the same. Sinful man saved by God’s Grace! All of us no matter who we are will fall short of the glory of God and our goals in the ministry we have set for ourselves to the Lord. God who appeared to Moses in the fire:

Exodus 3:2

Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up.

Joshua was told by the Lord:

Joshua 6:20

… when the trumpet sounded the people shouted, and at the sound of the trumpet when the people gave a loud shout the walls collapsed ( was this a earthquake?)

The Lord could have appeared to Elijah as the wind, earthquake or fire. No, the Lord came to Elijah as a gentle whisper, he came to the Prophet Elijah who was a broken man. The time is coming and in many parts of the world already here, that Jezebel is calling for our lives. Satan wants God’s people dead! My question for you is no matter how broken you feel you are, will you call God to take you home, or will you cry out “your strength Lord not mine”! As for me, I did not spend the last 50 years as a Dishwasher, Chef, Truck driver, Route sales, Supervisor, Self-employed, District Manager, Key Account Manager, Churchgoer, Deacon, Elder, Counselor, and Prophet to have the Lord call me home. I am here for war, and for what was written in  Ephesians,

Ephesians 6:12

… for our  Struggle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Ezekiel 33:3

… when I bring the sword against a land and the people of the land choose one of their men and make him their watchmen.

I will cry out as a Watchman!

Matthew 24: 9-13 instructs us to stand against false prophets and the stand with the Body of Christ in persecution. The church needs the 5-Fold Ministry!
